Rooted didn't come from a marketing agency. It came from working inside a real service business — figuring out what actually moves people from contact to client, and building a system around it.
The Architect
John has spent his career at the intersection of design, marketing, and relationship strategy. He built the Rooted system from the ground up — studying what actually drives referrals and repeat business inside real service businesses, and engineering a process around it. He works directly with every client and leads all operations.
The Origin Story
Dave comes from one of Central Pennsylvania's most established real estate families — three generations in business since 1945. Despite that legacy, he built his own client relationships entirely from scratch, developing a system of consistent follow-through that produced 175 transactions in a single year. That system is the foundation Rooted was built around.
Where It Started
Dave Hooke's family has been in real estate since 1945. His grandfather built a name in the market. His father carried it forward for decades. When Dave stepped in during the early 2000s — that legacy didn't pick up the phone.
He had to build his own database from scratch. His own relationships. His own system. And he did — spending years learning what actually moved people from contact to client.
That's where we came in. We took everything Dave had built — every touch, every pattern, every result — and turned it into a repeatable system. One that any business with relationships worth keeping can run.
